How does our Network begins:
The National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating an opportunity for all patients to receive the bone marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant they need, when they need it.
The NMDP offers several Web sites that may be helpful in your search for information. Below is a snapshot and a brief description of each site. NMDP Bioinformatics Web Sitewww.bioinformatics.nmdp.org Bioinformatics and HLA expertise at the NMDP has become a resource for researchers around the world. To facilitate collaboration, both within the U.S. and internationally, this Web site is the central resource for NMDP immunogenetic focused research and operational bioinformatics. NMDP Research Web Sitewww.nmdpresearch.org The NMDP has a growing research program designed to improve transplant outcomes, reduce complication rates and expand indications of marrow or umbilical cord blood transplantation. This site assists physicians and scientists who would like to conduct research through the NMDP, provides reports on NMDP-sponsored research and promotes opportunities in marrow or cord blood transplant research.
